Breedlove Premier Rosewood Parlor Guitar

This particular parlor guitar has all the makings of a top spec acoustic, albeit with less aesthetic embellishments. It features an all solid wood body with a solid sitka spruce top and solid east indian rosewood back and sides. The guitar’s gloss aged toner finish and ivoroid binding do not get in the way of the natural aesthetics of the wood, giving the guitar an earthy natural appearance.

Supporting the top are Breedlove’s inventive bracing, which allows for a thinner graduated top resulting in a more free moving soundboard. You’ll be surprised at how loud this small body can project, even when compared to full bodied acoustics.

The neck is carved from honduran mahogany and comes at a comfortable 25″ scale length. The fretboard is crafted from ebony with a Tusq nut that is 1.75″ wide, a total of 18 frets and dot inlays. The neck is glued to the body at the 12th fret, following traditional parlor designs. The bridge is crafted from African ebony, and the headstock has that distinctive Breedlove shape.

For plugging in, Breedlove equipped this parlor acoustic with Fishman Ultra-Tone electronics, a variation of their standard preamp with the controls mounted on the soundhole. Checkout the official video demo below:
