P. Williams. I agree with you. I had an Epiphone Les Paul goldtop and found a guy on craigslist with an AP70. Long story short, we met a train station (how blues is that?? lol) and straight up swapped guitars with him. I definitely got the better deal. Warm earthy tones, resonant, nice woods. The neck is ever so slightly on the chunkier side. Not enough to be turned off by it. I can still get my thumb around the top. That’s all that matters. lol. But if anyone else is on the fence about this one.. do it. Go find one, play it. I’m sure you’ll love it.
Amazing sound and craftsmanship for the price. Generous lower bout provides surprising volume. Very easy to play with simple reaches and gentle pressures for your hands. It cuddles into your lap like a warm puppy leaving you feeling good. What a joy!

The cross-section of the neck is very important, no one seems to mention it.
